The Winter Fellows Applications is now closed. Applicants will be notified in early December
- The Undergraduate Research Program Winter Fellows Awards are competitive scholarships. These awards are intended to enhance the educational experiences of undergraduate students at the University of Delaware
- Students must be must be full time students and must engaged in research under the mentorship of UD faculty members over the 2025 Winter Session. We hope that with research scholarships, students may focus more attention and time, deepening their inquiry into a discipline or project with a reduced financial burden.
- Students receive research scholarships up to $500 to conduct research over the 5-week winter session.
- Awards will be announced by the end of the Fall Semester.
- Awards will be paid as a stipend and will be deposited into student’s bank accounts before the end of the winter session.
- At the end of the Winter Session, students present their research at the Winter Fellows Showcase in early February. Students can present their work as either a poster or an oral presentation.
Eligibility Requirements
- Students must create their own original research project to be done independently
- Applicants must already have identified a faculty member to work with at the time of application.
- Once awarded, recipients must be actively engaged in their research over the course of the 5-week winter session.
- Students must present their research at the Winter Showcase which will take place at the beginning of the Spring 2025 semester. Additional details on this event are forthcoming.
