Abstract

Our presentation, Utilizing the Technology of Participation(ToP) for Community Engagement, essentially assesses the methods and knowledge we learned in our ToP Facilitation workshops and identifies how those can be applicable to real world scenarios and future planning and people-oriented work. My partner and I learned ToP Facilitation methods through participating in an extremely informative and interactive professional development two-day workshop conducted by facilitators Jeremy Kautza and Karie Terhark. We are grateful to have partook in this insightful and educational opportunity as we now have greater knowledge in the logistics behind leading meaningful, focused conversation and further action planning when making decisions in the future.
