The Importance of Intergenerational Friendships and Community Service

Lori’s Hands, a local nonprofit that started as a registered student organization at UD, provides services to chronically ill clients and pairs them with current UD student volunteers. As Lori’s Hands Communications Intern, Allie Briggs learned the importance of constant social interaction and intergenerational connection. Through this opportunity, Allie explored the benefits, importance, and reasons communities should prioritize intergenerational relationships, engagement, and community service.
