Sample Proposals

The sample proposals linked to this page should be read along with the application instructions in the Arts and Humanities Scholars Program handbook. Notice that applications are made jointly by students and their faculty sponsors.Each proposal reproduced here contains the student's full description of his or her proposed reseach and AN EXCERPT from the letter in which the faculty sponsor explained how the student's research would benefit the faculty member's own research program.It is expected that both the student's proposal and the faculty letter of support will explain the ways in which the proposed research will be a collaboration.
