The URP offers two main research programs over the summer: Summer Scholars and Summer Fellowship. For information on the Summer Scholars program, which is a full-time, funded research opportunity for ten weeks over the summer, please click here.
The Summer Fellowship program is similar to a Summer Scholar award in that it provides funding for summer research for students in any field. However, the required time commitment is much more flexible and convenient if you will need to have a separate job or take summer classes.
The stipend provided as a part of this program is also smaller, generally ranging from $300-1,500, since students generally conduct research for fewer hours than they do via a Scholar award. This year, due to the high number of applicants, funding will be extremely competitive.
