Summer Research

The URP offers two main research programs over the summer: Summer Scholars and Summer Fellowship. For information on the Summer Scholars program, which is a full-time, funded research opportunity for ten weeks over the summer, please click here.

The Summer Fellowship program is similar to a Summer Scholar award in that it provides funding for summer research; however, the required time commitment is much more flexible and convenient if you will need to have a separate job or take summer classes. The stipend provided as a part of this program is also smaller, generally ranging from $300-1,500, since you would be conducting research for fewer hours. The application deadline is April 15th, and is available here.

Students can also participate in volunteer or independent study research during the summer, though this is less common.
